Reply that it is very necessary to avoid the charge of relieving parents of their proper responsibilities. Nothing is so much calculated to damage the Socy. than taking children whose parents are living & able to support them. The right way to proceed is to get the boy committed to an Industrial School by a Magistrate & the parents wd. be compelled by law to support the child.
