Dear Madam,

In reply to your enquiry, I find that a few shillings have been received for the case of the "old girl" which was advertised in the Society's Magazine but as she is on short time I am sure she would be most grateful for any assistance you are able to afford her. If, therefore, you can spare anything for her and will kindly forward it to me I will gladly see that it is sent to her.
