Dear Sir,

I find the woman Mrs. about whose children you have kindly written is not settled in this parish so as to belong to it in the sense of being actually entitled to relief. and the relief she has been receiving (7/6 weekly) could not be guaranteed to her or to your Society on her behalf except from week to week. and in case she should, on being relieved of the burden of some of her children remove out of the parish she would at once cease to expect anything of course from these guardians. Therefore it would be of no use to apply to the board (which sits tomorrow week I believe) for any payment towards pulling out the children. and I am afraid I must
