Dear Mr. Frost,

Thank you for your letter of yesterday's date. I am very sorry indeed to hear such a sad account of poor J., and must try to think of some way in which we can help him. I suppose that both the weekly amounts which he is receiving are only temporary and will cease sooner or later. I presume there is no local organisation, such as the Charity Oraganisation Society, who would be able to afford him financial assistance?
