Case 476

4. Letter from Alice Furneaux about the proposed removal of the girls to London 7 November 1893

View the Case Summary.

Dear Mr. Rudolf

I think you have heard from Sister Marian of the Deaconess' Home at Westbourne Park that Mrs. is insisting on having her 2 daughters, E. & P., at home with her. E. is now in service in Leamington, & P. is still in our Home. As it now stands, the mother wishes both the girls to return to her on Wednesday, the 15th. It is a very great pity that E. should be taken from her place, as she has been a very troublesome girl, & seemed just inclined to settle down, & turn over a new leaf, however she has given notice & her mistress says she may go
