Girls' Welfare.
31st July, 1941.

Dear Mrs. B,

I am very sorry to say that the Church Army has written to say that they have no vacancy, as so many people wish to apply who wish to get away from dangerous areas. I am trying the Cluer Sisters at Windsor now, but I am afraid we shall have great difficulty in getting anything in these days.

Another suggestion I would make is that you get in touch with your Public Assistance locally, or that you get in touch with the local Charity Organisation Society, and ask them to arrange for Miss -- to be boarded out with some nice Cottagers wife. We have had one or two cases of this nature where the Charity Organisation Society has been more than kind, and has not only undertake the procuring of nice rooms, but has also settled a weekly grant.

I will let you know what reply we have from the Clewer Sisters, and then perhaps you can make some arrangements of this nature with your local Charity Organisation Society.

Yours sincerely,
AHP
