Old People's Welfare Committee

Dear Madam,
re A.

Thank you for your letter of August 13th. You do not say how much Miss -- is able to pay. We have been collecting information about Homes for some time and we find, unfortunately, that those which charge under £2 a week are almost invariably full. Is it possible for her to pay a little more than this sum? If so, there is more hope of her getting admitted.

Yours faithfully,
AP [Caton]
Honorary Secretary to the Committee

Miss A.H. Phepis,
Waifs and Strays Society,
St. Michaels,
Joel Street,
Eastcote,
Nr. Pinner.
