BLB/A
9th June, 1941.

Mrs. B,
Mount Road,
Cranleigh.

Dear Mrs. B,

Many thanks for your letter. I should be very pleased to do what I can to help you to make provision for our 'old girl' to whom you refer, but first of all will you kindly let me know her name so that I can look up her records here. I am hoping I may be able to interest the 'Friends of the Poor' in her case as they have helped several of our retired Matrons.

It is kind of you to have thought of our children in connection with the dresses which you have by you and we shall be so pleased to have them, especially as the new clothes rationing regulations are going to curtail our supplies considerably. I think it would be best for you to send them to us here where we have a fairly big store for clothing which is sorted and distributed to our various homes.

Hope you have good news of Mr. B and that he is still flourishing.

With best wishes and many thanks once again.

Yours sincerely,
signature
Secretary.
