This is to certify that E. was a voluntary inmate of this Certified Industrial School, from July 1886 to April 1890, during which time I found him to be a boy of strict honesty, and of remarkable good character. I have, on several occasions, trusted him with considerable sums of money when sending him on messages, and I always found him most trustworthy.

He was a boy of good character on admission, & was received solely on account of the destitution of his friends who were very respectable people.
