Thank you for sending me the invoice for the above named lad's bucket leg, which I am returning herewith, as I do not think the Devizes Guardians will require to see it. Should, however, they ask for the same, I can then obtain it from you.

As the Devizes Guardians have only undertaken to pay for the boy's maintenance up to March last, I shall be glad if you will let me know how he is now progressing and when you hope he will be capable of undertaking a situation. Is A. earning anything towards the cost of his keep, and do you think I can ask the Guardians to still continue their contribution, having regard to his age?
