21st July, 1903.

Dear Madam,
re J.

I beg to send you herewith copy of a letter received from the Medical Officer of the Society's St Martin's Home, together with an extract of one from the Hon. Secretary, respecting the above boy. Under the circumstances, and in accordance with the Society's rule, I am afraid there is no alternative but to ask you to make arrangements for his removal, by communicating with Mrs Graham, of 10a Claremont Gardens, Surbiton, letting this lady know on which day it would be most convenient for the boy to be returned.

I am very sorry at being obliged to ask you to take this step, but, on referring to recent correspondence, I find the Hon. Secretary wrote sometime back to the effect that the Committee had grave doubts as to whether it would be possible for the boy to remain in the Home.

Awaiting your reply,
Yours very faithfully,
(sd) E. de M.R.
LBG

Miss E. M. Mortimer
