Description:

M's father was dead and she lived with her mother who was a charwoman. In July 1884 she was brought before the Greenwich Police Court charged with being in danger of prostitution. She was ordered to be detained in Ashurst Industrial School, Kent until she reached the age of 16. In April 1886 she went into service with the Rector of Ashurst.
