Galloway Home For Girls, Bowdon

There is very little information about this Home as it was set up as a result of the outbreak of the Second World War and was only in existence for one year.

In 1939 the Galloway Home, Whalley Range, Cheshire was forced to close and the residents evacuated to Bowdon. However, the residents returned to Whalley Range a year later on account of the Bowdon Home's lack of air raid protection.
