Doncaster Girls' Home and School of Industry

Doncaster, Yorkshire

(c1779 - 1901)

The Doncaster Home was originally established in around 1779 and refounded in 1862 as The Doncaster Girls Home and School of Industry. In 1901 Miss Beckett, who had managed the Home for over 30 years, transferred the School and its outstanding balance to the Society, and it became known as the Beckett Denison Home For Girls.
