The Brothers and SistersBrothers and Sisters was the magazine that was sent to every member of The Children’s Union. The Children’s Union was a club that young supporters of the Waifs and Strays’ Society could join. Brothers and Sisters reflected it’s young readership with stories that could be spread over a whole year’s issues, games and puzzles. There were also articles of interest on subjects as diverse as photography, natural history and architecture. The Children’s Union was formed especially to raise funds for St Nicholas' Home, West Byfleet which was a home for children with disabilities. Later funds were also raised for the Bradstock Lockett Hospital Home And School Of Recovery in Southport. Members of The Children’s Union would help with the fundraising through innovative schemes like the Rover League and Doll’s League. You can browse through the publications below :- N.B.
