Description: These four girls were the babies of the Brighton Home. They are dressed in pinafores and smocks, which were the standard clothes of most Homes. Although the Home was meant for girls over four, the Matron was prepared to make exceptions. One of the pictured girls arrived at Brighton Home when she was only three months old.
