All dressed up and off to church. Each child was given a set of 'Sunday Best' clothing that they could wear to church. Many came from poor backgrounds and had never owned anything as nice, so it was inevitable they would want to show them off! As Sunday was a day for prayer, you wouldn't have been allow to play, especially if you were wearing your best clothes.
