Case 240

3. Letter from the Curate of St Andrew, Willesden concerning the family's finances 15 August 1883

View the Case Summary.

ask you, if you will be so good, to lay the case again before your committee. In the mean time the relieving officer had withdrawn her relief because of the irregularity of her children at school and they have only what she can earn during 5 days in the week in which she goes out washing and the children being wild in the roads during that time are not likely to become more regular at school. her oldest boy also who gives her much trouble has lost his employment at 1/6 a week so that their case is by no means improved. Thanking you for the steps you have taken in the matter. I remain your's faithfully
