Case 28357. Letter from Revd Burrows 19 October 1895View the Case Summary.
some money to his mother but I doubt if he ever sent it. He probably paid his journey with it & however I could not keep his own money from him. It shows well for the Matron's discipline that nothing like this has occurred at the Home itself, but how sad that a boy of 13 cannot be trusted with a little more freedom, & when he had a good trade & home provided for him! I shall be glad of the money when you can send it, I will of course only use 10/- for [?] fortnight. I hardly think it is of any use trying to get A back but he ought to have a severe rebuke from you as well as from me! I am writing but you could call. He has not exactly been dishonest except that he has taken several things provided for him wich he would not have had if we had known. Thank you for the cash book account sheets &c I will send you the list [of] committee in a day or two. Yrs. faithfully
