Case 229. Letter from J. 29 December 1929View the Case Summary.
The doctors say an ailing left lung has brought on temporary heart trouble, causing insomnia. Thus "Joseph is still in prison" and Job is still arguing & reasoning with his friends! God deals with us sometimes beyond our understanding, but there there is love that will not let us go, and "underneath are the Everlasting Arms"! The just live by faith. Is there anything the Society could offer me sufficiently lucrative to pay expenses, & sufficiently of benefits to them to make such practicable? The ex-crossing sweeper a beggar on behalf of others! My God continue to prosper your good work in the coming year. Yours faithfully, J. Overwritten in pencil: 84.2/46
