Rev. A J. Westcott
Old Town Hall
[Lennington] Road, London SE ll 5/3/1930

Dear Sir

re J.

I thank you for your letter of yesterday's date. I will attend the funeral and will take the boys and as much of the staff as I can so that the Society shall be well represented.

As to what the widow and children are going to do I do not know. There is only one child - a daughter who is married and has 3 children of her own. I might add that the son-in-law and daughter are in poor circumstances and cannot help the widow as he is on the dole at present. I had a serious talk expressing with the whole family and found out that J. had left £165 in the Post Office; he has made a will and left all that he is possessed of to the wife.
