6th December, 1902

Sir
re G

I have heard this morning from the Coastguard authorities at Downderry, Cornwall, that your nephew is very anxious to join the Navy. Will you, therefore, be so good as to sign the enclosed forms and return them to met at your early convenience? I may mention that according to the particulars on his casepaper, he was born on the 31st, December, 1887, whereas on the form sent you, it is stated to be the 23rd December, 1886. Perhaps, however, you can state his exact age.
Awaiting your reply

I remain,
Yours faithfully,
E de M R.

Mr. I
