19th September, 1900

Rev. & Dear Sir
Re R

Now that the above girl is in her 15th year, I think that it would be as well to arrange for her to be transferred to one of the Society's Laundry Homes, in order that she may be put in the way of earning her own livelihood, and at the same time relieve the Society of the cost of her maintenance. I shall, therefore, be obliged if you will be so good as to let me hear from you respecting the matter, and also let me know when it will be convenient for her to be sent to London.

In view of the present serious condition of the Society's funds we cannot well undertake to contribute towards her support for a much longer period, so that I shall be glad to hear that you consider that she is suitable to be transferred to one of the Homes referred to at an early date.
Awaiting your reply
Believe me,

Yours faithfully
(sgd.) E. de M.R.

Rev. V.
