C/V/D. 23rd January, 1908.

Dear Madam,

Re J

I am extremely sorry to inform you that my efforts to find the above boy a suitable home, have failed, and I am afraid, therefore, there is no alternative but to ask you to kindly arrange for his return to his relatives, and it for them to pass the lad on to the guardians, if they are unable to provide for him. This would appear to be the best way of dealing with the case, under the circumstances, and then perhaps the suggestion contained in the enclosed letter from the Medical Superintendent of the Darenth Asylum may be carried out.

I exceedingly regret to be obliged to this effect, but you will realise that the Society has done its best for the lad, and really he should now be in some more suitable Institution, both for his own, and for the good of the other inmates of the Burgess Hill Home.

Yours faithfully,
E. de M. RUDOLF.
G.D.

Miss F.S. Williams
