I had a letter from the Rev Lewis Davies of Llangendierne Vicarage, Kidwelly, on Jan 10th. In it, after mentioning several other Standon boys in the district, that "[ ] and J are doing very well, the latter is improved". I would advise leaving him alone, as he is now apparently well established in his situation, and able to fend for himself.
