consulted him and his wife and they say the child had better remain where she is there to be under the charge of either the Father or Grandmother.

J. has no children and would like to adopt the child if he could do it legally, but that cannot be done without the consent of the Father which probably cannot be obtained. From all I can learn I believe it best for the child to remain where she is until she is old enough to support and take care of herself.
