Case 949821. Copy letter to the Devizes Union asking if they can meet the cost of the new leg 11 April 1910View the Case Summary.
11th April, 1910. C/F.C. I beg to enclose herewith an estimate to hand this morning in regard to a bucket leg required by the above named crippled boy, an inmate of the Society's Training Home at 119 Copenhagen Street, Islington, N., and shall be very glad to hear whether your Board can kindly see its way to meet the cost, vizt. 30/-. If so, perhaps you will be so good as to include the amount in our account in respect of maintenance, sent in on Saturday last? I understand that the bucked leg is urgently required, the present one having been in use for nearly five years and for some time past the stump of the lad's leg has not properly fitted the bucket. Yours faithfully, signature The Clerk to the Guardians, Overwritten in pencil: Copy
