Union Offices,
Devizes.
11th November, 1910.

Dear Sir,
re A.

I brought your letter of the 28th ultimo before the Guardians of this Union at their meeting on the 8th instant when the case of this lad came before the Board for consideration.

After some discussion the Guardians requested me to write and ask you if you will be good enough to supply them with a certificate by your Medical Officer on the lad's present condition.

At the same time I am directed to say that the Guardians appreciate the efforts made by your Society on behalf of the lad in endeavouring to place him out but that they would like to know whether there is any physical or mental deficiency other than his requiring a bucket leg rendering him unfit and likely to be rejected from the several situations your Society has kindly endeavoured to place

Stamped in purple: 12 Nov Rec'd
Overwritten in pencil: medical certificate & such information shall be submitted in due [time]
