Dear Sir,
re A.

I duly received your letter of the 23rd ultimo and enclosures (Medical Certificate also letter from the Master of the Home at Islington) for which I thank you.

At their meeting on the 6th instant I submitted the above to the Guardians, who after giving the question, of whether the lad should be allowed to remain at your Home, their careful consideration, came to the decision that perhaps they might be able to find him work in their Workhouse and resolved that they would continue to pay for his maintenance on the present terms up to the close of the year, after which, they would no longer be responsible for his maintenance but would receive him into their Workhouse ad Devizes.

Will you therefore please accept this intimation that the
