I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 31st ult., enclosing cheque value £2-10-0 being your Board's contribution towards the cost of the cork leg supplied to A., for which I have pleasure in returning your official receipt duly completed.

I note that the voucher for the payment of £3-15-0 made by my Society to the Surgical Aid Society, will be returned to me after the audit of your accounts, which may not take place until the spring of next year.
