Greenhills Nursery, Earls Colne

Greenhills Nursery opened in 1959 when the Great Maplestead Home was vacated and its residents relocated. The nursery accommodated children under three years old.

In 1968 Students at Brightlingsea Secondary School paid for and organised a day's outing to the seaside for 14 toddlers from Greenhills.

In 1969 an extension was added and the nursery closed in 1972.
