St Budoc's Home for Boys, Falmouth

Falmouth, Cornwall

(1930 - 1967)

St Budoc's in Falmouth opened in 1929 as a replacement for Morfa Home for Boys in Newquay and catered for 30 boys aged 10-14.

St Budoc's Home was situated very close to the beach and had a large garden in which each boy tended to their own plot of land. The boys also played football and cricket and kept personal belongings in their own lockers.

The Home closed in 1967 and the Local County Council Authority bought the property for its Children's Department.
