St Peter's Children's Home, Malvern

Malvern, Worcestershire

(1921 - 1970)

St Peter's Children's Home opened in 1921 for boys aged 4-10 and was under the management of a local committee led by the Chairman, Revd RH Isaac Williams. From the start it had close ties to the Society, which sent children to the Home, and the local organising secretary for The Waifs & Strays addressed the 1923 Annual Festival. Management was officially transferred to the Society in March 1936, although the local committee continued.

The building was situated on a hill with a large kitchen garden and playing field.

It is recorded in the 1970 annual report that the home closed that year but its official closure date was given as 5 January 1971.
