St Michael's Home For Boys, Pelsall

Pelsall, nr. Wasall, Staffordshire

(1898 - 1907)

We know very little about St Michael's Home for Boys, as it is hardly mentioned in any of our records. It was open for nine years but seems to stay in the background for most of the time. It was one of five homes in the Lichfield diocese. The others were in Shrewsbury, Handsworth, Penkridge and Standon. We also know that St Michael's was a small cottage home that could only house six boys aged 8-12 and that Revd W Climpson was their Honorary Secretary.

The Home closed in 1907.
