Case 12948. Letter from E's paternal grandmother c. 18 November 1895View the Case Summary.
Oliver Mews Dear Sir You will pardon me taking the liberty of writing you, but Mrs. Bere of Bloomfield Lodge Staunton has written me concerning a little grand-daughter of mine named E whom the Waifs & Strays Society so kindly took when her poor young father died. Mrs. Bere in her letter asked me if I would have her, as the foster mother had made herself inside inellegible by marrying a dissenter.
