View the Case Summary.
Help has recently been sought for a woman now aged fifty-six who was received by the Society in 1883, when eight years old. Her former supervisor, who has kept in touch with her through all the years, says that she is a good woman of high character, and has for some time been working in a hosiery factory which has now closed, leaving her unemployed. Ill-health is a further handicap and so this request for assistance. Is it possible that a reader can come to her aid temporarily?
