The Vicarage May 25th 1893 Dear Sir We are very anxious to place a little girl living in this Parish, 8 years of age, in some good Home; we therefore bring the mater before you, asking for your kind consideration, and, if possible, help. About 16 months ago, the mother of this little girl died, leaving her to the care of a drunken and cruel father, who, since that time, has been twice convicted of cruelty Overwritten in pencil: ans. 26.5.93
