Dear Miss Lawer,

I sent you a telegram this morning asking you to be good enough to defer sending the above girl to Newark as previously arranged, until such time as you hear from me again. It has since been considered advisable that the formal sanction to the girl's transfer should first be obtained from the Local Government Board, the case being chargeable to the Worksop Board of Guardians. So soon as the necessary approval is forthcoming. I will let you know when the matter can be arranged.
